Single Point of Access & Mental Health Referrals
If you are concerned about your child or young person's mental health and have already been to your GP, families can refer into the services below.
Single Point of Access
If your family is in crisis and needs emotional or mental health support, you can self-refer via the Single Point of Access (SPA). This is a team of clinicians who will review the emotional and mental health needs of you or your family member and decide the best way to support.

Kent School Health Service
Kent School Health are a team of school nurses and practitioners who work with children, young people and families in Kent.
Children and young people do not need to be in school to access this service and parents can refer to them:

Adults - Adult services are not provided by NELFT
For residents of Kent and Medway who are not currently a patient with KMPT (sometimes referred to as Kent and Medway secondary care mental health services), call the free 24 hour helpline on 0800 783 9111 if you need urgent mental health support, advice and guidance.
Or call 0800 107 0160 to speak with someone from the Release the Pressure team if you’re feeling stressed. You can also text "Kent" to 85258 for 24 hour mental health crisis support via text from trained volunteers.
Is the child at risk?
Where a child is at immediate risk of harm you should always call 999.
