Arts Week
Students from Y5, 6, 7 and 9 took part in Laleham Gap Schools first ‘Arts week’ aimed to develop the links between the Primary and Secondary departments. Students were introduced to ‘Take One Picture’ the national arts programme run by the National Gallery, London. Take of Picture aims to inspire a lifelong love of art and learning. Every year, they take one picture from the collection to inspire cross-curricular work in classrooms. Schools are invited to create artwork inspired by that picture and then submit work to the National Gallery.
Our students were able to investigate the painting, learning new techniques and processes and create their own canvas.
We celebrated the students work in a mini pop up exhibition in school.
