Author Visits

Research shows that children who meet living authors are more likely to become interested in reading and writing themselves.  Every year, LGS takes part in the Pop-Up Literary Festival in which well-known children and young people’s authors visit our school to deliver fun workshops for our pupils.  Recently, our pupils had the chance to meet poet, Neal Zetter and children’s writer, Christopher William Hill, who delighted our young people with fun language activities from writing poetry about favourite food to listening to darkly humorous tales of life as a writer.
