Parent Resources and Training
Parent Resources & Training
We are committed to providing our parents and carers with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to help their children thrive. Below you will find quick links to our essential parent platforms, as well as information on our ongoing training programmes.
Essential Platforms
The National College: This portal is completely free for Laleham Gap parents and carers. It contains a wealth of excellent advice, resources, and posters focusing on online safety and safeguarding.

Here is an example of some of the helpful content you will find:

Arbor Parent App: Arbor is our central school information system. Through the parent app, you can easily view your child's timetable, track their attendance, and securely pay for school trips and lunches. We are working on introducing even more features for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Over 90% of our parents have now signed up. If you still need to download it, you can find it here:

If you get stuck, Arbor have published a short video and guide on how to use the App:

Wellbeing Website: Our Wellbeing Team has created a dedicated space to help demystify the therapies and support we provide at school, offering useful information, tips, and resources for families. The site is currently hosted at a different address, but will be integrated into the upcoming school site. For now, please access it here:
Training & Support
Family Thrive: This is a therapeutic approach where parents work alongside our experienced practitioners. These sessions are designed to help you gain new skills and strategies to support your children at home. So far, 100% of parents who have attended these sessions reported improved skills and confidence.
If you would like to sign up to a family Thrive cohort, please contact the school office and register your interest.
Upcoming Webinars: We know that attending in-person events isn't always possible. We are currently recording a series of webinars covering topics you have asked for, including allergies and anaphylaxis, online safety, and multi-agency support. These will be available to watch on demand when our new website fully launches in September.
