  • The National Curriculum

    All pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 follow the National Curriculum. The revised statutory curriculum, The National Curriculum in England, Framework Document (DFE, 2013) came into force in September 2014.

    The diagram below illustrates those subjects which are statutory and at which key stage.

    * Please note that 'Languages' are taught as a whole department ‘Culture and Community Days’, at least three times per year, encouraging pupils to not only learn foreign languages but also experience the cultures of other countries including, for example: cuisine, customs, traditions, arts and music. Our aim is to encourage intercultural relationships, open-minded travel and to be considerate hosts.
