Dear Parents and Carers
I hope this letter finds you, your friends and family in good health.
I am writing to share some important staff updates, as well as an invitation to an upcoming school event.
I want to inform you that Mr O’Brien has officially retired from his position as Science Lead following a period of absence due to ill health. I am sure you will join me in expressing our deepest gratitude to Mr O’Brien for his many years of dedicated service and unwavering support to our school community. He has made a lasting impact on many of our pupils, and we wish him the absolute best, and happiness for the future. Mr Platt will continue to teach within our science department, ensuring stability and continuity for our students' learning.
Finally, I would like to invite you all to our next school coffee morning. This will be held on Wednesday 18th November 2026 at 9:15 am. Our focus will be on-line safety and a funding update for our significant projects. Everyone is welcome, and it will be a wonderful opportunity to catch up, meet other families, and discuss school life in a relaxed setting.
A reminder that it is a Wellbeing Day, this Friday. It is a whole-school Wellbeing Day, focusing on positive mental health and linked to Hello Yellow Day. Pupils will take part in a range of off-timetable activities, which they will be able to choose from, designed to support wellbeing, connection and relaxation. Pupils are welcome to wear their own clothes, and we are asking for a voluntary £1 donation in support of YoungMinds Charity.
Term 2 starts 2nd of November 2026.
Thank you for your continuing support.
Yours sincerely
Les Milton
Headteacher
