Dear Parents and Carers
Friday 16th October will be a whole-school Wellbeing Day, focusing on positive mental health and linked to Hello Yellow Day. Pupils will take part in a range of off-timetable activities, which they will be able to choose from, designed to support wellbeing, connection and relaxation. Pupils are welcome to wear their own clothes, and we are asking for a voluntary £1 donation in support of YoungMinds Charity.
Please note that there will be sports activities, as well as messy play and sensory activities, throughout the day. We therefore ask that pupils wear appropriate clothing that they do not mind getting messy, along with suitable footwear and clothing for sports activities. We will also be hosting a Hello Yellow pop-up shop and raffle, selling fidget toys, journals, cakes and sweet treats.
Pupils are welcome to bring spending money for the shop; where possible, we ask that this is brought in as coins rather than notes. We would be very grateful for donations of cakes, biscuits or other individually wrapped treats.
Please note that all donations must be shop-bought and in their original packaging, with ingredients and allergen information clearly displayed. We are a nut-free school and cannot accept any homemade cakes or baked goods.
If your child attends Willowbanks, Construction, or any other off-site provision, these activities will continue as normal on this day. If you would like to contribute, please send donations into school by Thursday 15th October.
Thank you for your support.
