Dear Parents and Carers
I hope this letter finds you, your friends and family in good health
As we enjoy this spell of beautiful late summer weather, it has been wonderful to see our pupils making the most of the opportunities available to them. From sailing and visits to Willowbanks and Sheep Ahoy to riding sessions, pupils have been engaging enthusiastically in a range of outdoor activities, building confidence, developing new skills, and creating lasting memories.
These experiences play an important role in enriching our curriculum and supporting pupils' wellbeing. It has been a pleasure to see so many smiles, achievements, and examples of teamwork as our young people embrace these opportunities.
On Friday 9 October, we will take part in Hello Yellow Day, coming together to raise awareness of the importance of children's and young people's mental health. Staff and pupils can brighten the school by wearing a yellow accessory to celebrate standing out and have conversations about Mental Health.
We are delighted to invite parents and carers to our next Parent Coffee Morning on Wednesday 18 November 2026. Our focus will be on-line safety and a funding update for our significant projects.
This is a wonderful opportunity to meet with other parents, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and chat informally with members of the school team. We look forward to sharing updates from across the school and hearing your thoughts and feedback.
We hope you can join us and look forward to welcoming you on the day.
This will be a Wellbeing Day which is a non-uniform day with off-timetable activities to support connection and relaxation. Please bring in change for a small pop-up shop and raffle for staff and students to support local and national charities. (Willowbanks and Construction will continue as usual.) Please support us with donating a nut-free cake or treat (with all ingredients clearly labelled).
Many thanks for your continuing support
Best wishes
Les Milton
