Wednesday 11th November - Remembrance Day

Royal Legion Poppy products are available on sale through the Primary House Captains (supported by Natalie) and Secondary Councillors circulating during Reading+ this week. (Suggested donation 50p -£1) All pupils will be supported to take a quiet moment of reflection with their class/subject teachers in the morning of Remembrance Day.

Friday 13th November - Children in Need

This will be a non-uniform day and pupils should wear appropriate and comfortable clothing that is suitable for a school day.  Pupils can donate £1 to be collected by Form tutors.

16-20 November - Anti-Bullying Week

Monday 16th - Friday 20th November is Anti-Bullying Week across the country, with the theme: Break the Silence.  As a Rights Respecting School, we celebrate this event to raise awareness of rights around bullying. Odd Socks Day is a tradition started by the Anti-Bullying Alliance to have fun, be ourselves, and spread awareness of the core values Anti-Bullying Week promotes. We are all encouraged to wear odd socks on Monday 16th November to celebrate what makes us unique. You can donate to the Anti-Bullying Alliance (Charity Registration No. 258825) through their JustGiving Page.

The Anti-Bullying Alliance have collaborated with Kidscape to produce a tool to support Parents and Carers at home.

Monday 30th November - St Andrew's Day

St Andrew’s Day is Monday 30th November but will be marked at Laleham Gap on Friday 27th November. Staff and students are invited to wear blue and white or Scottish clothing. Themed activities or a quiz will be offered to explore and celebrate Scottish pride and traditions. There will also be Scottish-themed dessert on the day.

Many thanks for your continued support, Laleham Gap School
